Boarding School, Scotland - Lomond School

Outdoor Education

Lomond is ideally situated for taking advantage of the opportunities for learning and personal development provided by the hills and lochs that dominate the local area.

Major strands include the Duke of Edinburgh Award  Scheme, regular canoeing and walking expeditions, Outward Bound leadership training, the Scottish Islands Peaks race and Lomond Challenge triathlon. Using a combination of staff and outdoor education instructors, the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities is built into the school experience.

Outdoor education is given significant emphasis by the school and we strongly believe in its ability to help young people gain in confidence and awareness of themselves.
