Senior School

Pupils in our Senior School enjoy a broad curriculum with a wide range of subject choices, complemented with high levels of personalised support and expert guidance from staff.

Our family ethos focuses on every individual pupil and we strive to prepare them not just for the present – but also for the future.

In addition to supporting and inspiring academic success, our young people benefit from a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom, including: sporting excellence, outdoor learning, adventure, leadership, service and employability. Our small class sizes ensure that every child receives the nurturing they deserve, and the practical support and advice they need to develop and grow. With our principles and values central to all that we do – we know that our pupils have developed the skills and qualities they need as they venture out into the world.

Although many pupils will spend their whole school career at Lomond School, we are used to welcoming new young people both from the local area and across the world at all stages and at all times of the year. Our pupils and teachers are confident and experienced in supporting new pupils from all educational backgrounds, and our curriculum and timetabling model allows for a large degree of flexibility and personalisation. Specialist support for pupils with English as an Additional Language along with the extra year of study at National 5, in particular, makes transitions at this stage very manageable.

The high quality of the relationships between all of our young people and adults ensure that the Lomond family will extend a warm welcome to all.
