Cricket

Cricket is played in the summer term. Fixtures are played in the short summer term at Helensburgh Cricket Club’s Ardencaple ground. The school enjoys close links with Helensburgh CC and coaching takes place throughout the winter in the Lomond Sports Hall. The facilities include indoor nets and a bowling machine, which allows cricketers to work on their skills all year round.

Lomond compete against schools from across west/central Scotland and also play a few fixtures against adult sides with notable games being against the Scottish XL club and the Parents/FPs' side. Lomond players also feature prominently for Helensburgh and other club sides throughout the summer holidays. Lomond has also produced a number of district and age group internationalists over the years; it is hoped to see a number of the current promising group of players attain this level in the next few seasons.
