Part time: 4 Hours per day term-time, plus 6 days.
Salary: £9.27 per hour
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Driver/Cleaning Assistant.
This role will provide the safe transport service of the pupils, using school minibuses, either to or from the school. Hours of work will be 7:00am – 11:00am. Please note that you may occasionally be asked to cover journeys to Oban on a Sunday afternoon or Friday evening.
Additionally, the role will include cleaning and refuelling the minibus.
Your core responsibilities will be:
– The safe transport of pupils to and from school.
– The cleanliness and basic housekeeping of the bus i.e. fuel levels, oil, tyre pressure etc.
– Ensuring a high level of cleanliness within school, as part of the cleaning team.
– Dusting and vacuuming, floor cleaning including operation of pedestrian scrubber.
– Providing a cleaning service to staff and pupil toilets including sanitary cleaning.
You must have a clean, current, full driving licence with D1 entitlement to drive a minibus.
Ideally you will have experience of providing cleaning services within a non-domestic environment and will have a basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
You should also have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and members of staff.

Boarding House Tutors
Lomond School has a number of vacancies for Volunteer Resident Tutors in its boarding house. These posts are unsalaried but provide rent free accommodation throughout the year and meals during term time. Previous occupants of the positions have been PGDE or Post Graduate students in Glasgow or individuals seeking to gain volunteer experience with young people before applying for these courses or other occupations working with young people. Successful applicants will be required to apply for and receive PVG scheme membership as you will be working in a regulated environment. This will become your personal PVG scheme membership record and, as such, we will ask you to pay for this. The current cost of this is £59.
