Admissions and Marketing Assistant

We are now looking for an Admissions & Marketing Assistant to help support two key departments within the school that have very important external functions.

Admissions is the first point of contact for all prospective parents, so you will be assisting our Registrar with all the administrative aspects of pupil recruitment and retention, to help deliver an efficient, courteous and effective service. Your duties will be varied from inputting accurate information onto our database to supporting all communication with prospective parents and other parties. This part of your role is very customer-focused and requires empathy and attention to detail.

Marketing is responsible for all our promotional activities and brand communications, and you will be supporting our Marketing Managers with advertising campaigns, social media activity, website updates, events, alumni activities, research and the production of various marketing materials. Again, your duties will be varied from carrying out informal photography to developing and posting content on social media.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with the requisite skills to join a small, friendly team and make an important contribution to the ongoing success of the school. You will be expected to uphold and promote the ethos and values of Lomond School, and once you have learned the basics, step up with confidence when your managers are unavailable.

We’re looking for someone educated to a minimum of SQA Higher level (or equivalent) ideally with experience of working in an administrative or customer-focused role. Good organisational and communication skills are essential, as is a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with children. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This is a full-time role 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

We are recruiting a self-motivated and enthusiastic full-time Janitorial Handyperson who would thrive in a busy environment.  In this role you will be responsible for delivering an integrated janitorial, cleaning and caretaking service to the school.  This role is a full year full-time role.

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role.

Boarding House Tutors

Lomond School has a number of vacancies for Volunteer Resident Tutors in its boarding house. These posts are unsalaried but provide rent free accommodation throughout the year and meals during term time. Previous occupants of the positions have been PGDE or Post Graduate students in Glasgow or individuals seeking to gain volunteer experience with young people before applying for these courses or other occupations working with young people. Successful applicants will be required to apply for and receive PVG scheme membership as you will be working in a regulated environment. This will become your personal PVG scheme membership record and, as such, we will ask you to pay for this. The current cost of this is £59.
