Lomond School is unique in that it is a day school with boarding as opposed to a traditional boarding school which brings many advantages.

Living at Lomond as a boarder is an enriching experience that we truly believe provides a ‘home away from home’. Our boarding house, Burnbrae, is a purpose built, modern facility separate to the main school campus. With up to 60 boarders at any one time, Burnbrae is small enough to truly provide a family feel and being home to boys and girls provides a unique opportunity for siblings to live together in the same boarding house. With a balance of both international and UK boarders, all our pupils thrive in a truly international environment.

From Junior 1 to S6, our dedicated and talented teaching staff deliver a rich and varied curriculum which ensures children are encouraged to love learning right from the start and are challenged and inspired throughout their school career.

At Lomond School we look to the future, and our curriculum is no exception. Times are changing and we want to ensure that every young person in our school has a curriculum pathway that prepares them for life; challenges them to be the best they can be and inspires them to go out into the world and make a difference. From August 2021 our Senior 5 and 6 pupils (sixth form) will have the choice of two International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes – the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) – as well as our existing SQA courses.

We accept boarders from the age of 9 and accept pupils both on a full-time and short-term (6 weeks to 1 term) basis.
