With a highly flexible approach to boarding and return travel to school included for our weekly boarders from the West Highlands, we’re making the option of boarding easier and more accessible.
Our boarding house, Burnbrae, is home to up to 60 boys and girls from both the UK and around the world and we accept children from the age of 9 into boarding where they discover a true home away from home.
Our dedicated and talented teaching staff deliver a rich and varied curriculum which ensures children are encouraged to love learning right from the start and are challenged and inspired throughout their school career. We aim to harness each child’s talents and strengths to ensure they become the very best that they can be.
In Senior School, our pupils enjoy a broad curriculum with a wide range of subject choices, complemented with high levels of personalised support and expert guidance from staff. Pupils can expect to study 8 National 5’s, 6 Highers and 3 Advanced Highers (A Level) with our exam results over recent years speaking for themselves; we were delighted to see all our 2020 S6 leavers this year achieve their first choice University place. As a candidate school* for the IB Diploma and IB Careers-related Programmes, we are looking forward to increasing further the breadth of choice for our senior school pupils from August 2021.
Throughout the whole school we have robust procedures in place to ensure the safety of both pupils and staff and Burnbrae is a signatory of the Boarding Schools Association ‘Covid-Safe Charter’.
