Lomond School recently staged a three-night, sell-out production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, captivating audiences with a powerful and moving performance led by Ben (S4) as Romeo and Minnie (S5) as Juliet.

With a talented cast of over 25 pupils, the production showcased the depth of creativity and dramatic skill within the school community. Directed by Dr Natalie Roncone, the classic tragedy was reimagined with emotional intensity and contemporary flair, leaving audiences deeply impressed by the students’ commitment and artistry.

Dr Roncone shared her admiration for the cast:

“I am immensely grateful to work with such talented actors who inspire me every single day. Throughout the run of the shows they continued to experiment and take risks with their performances, showing great creative innovation and courage. On the final night’s performance they far exceeded all our expectations; taking the play to a completely new level with an energy and vulnerability that was beautiful to behold. Bravo to all of you special people! I look forward to treading the boards with you again soon!”

Claire Chisholm, Principal of Lomond School, also praised the cast’s achievements:

“I couldn’t be prouder of our incredible pupils. Their dedication, teamwork, and the sheer talent on stage were truly outstanding. The energy and emotion they brought to Romeo and Juliet left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. They have demonstrated the very best of what it means to be part of the Lomond School community.”
