Remembrance Poppy

Today we marked the 100th anniversary of Armistice day with the annual assembly and Act of Remembrance.

Pupils who went on the recent battlefields trip shared their thoughts on the sights and images which moved them the most. The School Captain and Vice-Captain hung a wreath on the Larchfield war memorial while Mr Forrest and Peter C. played ‘Flowers o the Forest’ and the last post respectively.

The Junior School will mark the occasion with their own assembly on Monday and have been hard at work painting seashells which have been turned into a poppy and will be displayed in Hermitage Park on Sunday as part of a project led by Friends of Hermitage Park.
