Concerts and Performances

At Lomond we believe that the opportunity to perform, whether it be individually or as part of a group, plays a key role in the development of our young people, building confidence and resilience beyond the classroom.

Concerts and performances occur frequently at Lomond School and include: informal recitals, formal concerts, ensembles, an annual folk and rock concert , a Creative Arts Evening and even tours overseas. Our small Junior School class sizes allow us to make sure that every pupil has a key role in class plays and concerts, forming memories that will last a lifetime.

Our hugely anticipated Senior School production takes place most years and the opportunities to be involved extend far beyond performing, with important roles in stage lighting, sound, costume and make-up. An immense amount of creative work goes into such productions and our young people learn to work together, problem solve and demonstrate respect and resilience throughout the process. Pupils collaborate in our purpose built, state-of-the-art Drama studio and recent productions include The Addams Family, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Grease, High School Musical and Romeo and Juliet.
