Music and Drama
Our Music Department is a hub of energy and innovation, with a huge focus on co-curricular activities. Amongst them are choirs, the school orchestra, a traditional music group, the clarsach ensemble, the saxophone ensemble and the jazz group.
As well as the major annual school events of the Junior and Senior Carol Services and Junior and Senior Concerts later in the session, the department also receives many invitations for these groups to perform both locally and further afield. Encouraging our musicians to challenge themselves in solo performing, the Music Competition in Spring Term is open to any pupil in S1-S6 with awards for Instrumental, Vocal and Trad performances.
Lomond pupils have access to music and drama lessons from Junior 1 all the way to Advanced Higher offering plenty of opportunity to experience performing and uncover hidden talents.
