Pastoral Care

We aim to know each of our pupils in Burnbrae as individuals and meet their needs through building strong relationships with pupils and their families.

Frontline pastoral care is delivered by the Houseparent and Assistant Houseparent assisted by Resident Tutors and non-resident Matrons. Peer to Peer support is also to the fore through the Heads and Depute Heads of House. Medical support is available through the School Nurse and School GP’s who hold regular clinics in the house. Staff support attendance at external appointments such as dentists or opticians. Burnbrae is regularly inspected by the Care Inspectorate who seek the views of young people, staff and parents when compiling their reports.

Lomond School is in a great location, you get to experience the best of Scotland; it’s a small school where teachers support you as much as they can; you have a boarding house which is like a family, it’s very open and warm; and there’s a great academic standard. There’s nothing more to wish for. I’d recommend it 100%.
