Lomond School is a co-educational, independent day and boarding school providing a seamless education for girls and boys from Nursery to Senior 6. A strong family ethos runs throughout the school and a warm welcome awaits new pupils and their families.

Whether they have lived locally all their lives or have joined us as international boarders, our pupils and their families benefit from joining a welcoming community with a distinct family atmosphere.

Academic success is at the core of what we achieve at Lomond, backed up by a strong emphasis on developing our young people through involvement in a wide range of activities closely linked to our school philosophy and values.

Pupils in our Senior School enjoy a broad curriculum with a wide range of subject choices, complemented with high levels of personalised support and expert guidance from staff.

We recognise that times are changing and  we want to ensure that every young person in our school has a curriculum pathway that prepares them for life; challenges them to be the best they can be and inspires them to go out into the world and make a difference.

With this in mind, our Senior 5 and 6 pupils (sixth form) will have the choice of two International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes – the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) – as well as our existing SQA courses.

Learn More – Our Registrar, Jonathan Hewat, will be happy to discuss individual circumstances and arrange an individual tour of the school.
