Separate to the bursary scheme, at Lomond School we offer a range of scholarships which are awarded based on a child demonstrating excellence in a particular area. Scholarships will ordinarily be awarded for the duration of full-time education.
Scholarships are categorised as follows:
- Academic Excellence
- The Creative Arts
- The David Arthur All-Rounder Scholarship
The awarding of scholarships is dependent on entry criteria and all scholarships will be means-tested. A reduction of up to 50% of tuition / school fees may be available depending on individual circumstances.
It is expected that all scholarship pupils will be positive role models within the school community and will make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school.
Also available are a generous number of means-tested bursaries which can offer a significant reduction in fees. Please note that bursary applicants are not required to meet the scholarship criteria.
Following submission of applications, Scholarship applicants and their parents/guardians will then be invited to tour the school and meet with the Principal and relevant teaching staff before undertaking interviews, testing and auditions (as appropriate). At the current time, due to our Covid-19 protocols, meetings and auditions would be conducted remotely while tours would be conducted out of school hours.
